An Unexpected Check Raiser…
So I was observant on dominating some cash tables for a pregnant moment. It didn't stumble on that way just the same.. I kept getting out heated, out kicked, and mainly out flopped (QQ < 55 on a 58T flop. Bah).
All in all an tedious session, rally for this hand in the BB.
I threshold with J6o, not a knightly holding but it was a free flop, which came down JJ5. Wonderful!
So I stain with the appetence of a fuzzy great label-raise… and stake enough, the minny bets but just as I'm cheery to myself, the stingy blind throws in a crushing check rear aloft!
Now I'm mazy. What does he have? What does the stud have?
The badges
Chances are the bind has jackstraw. He was having a pop at the pot, and it backfired. He may have a 5, or a extravagant draw, or even some overcards. Either way, his bet wasn't suggestive of much backbone, since a very self-willed hand would have checked there (like I did).
So I can disclaim the carpet tack.
The in miniature blind
Which leaves this bad boy. My supereminent thought was that he was re-booty. Then I without exception that $0.01/$0.02 tables aren't relly the freight with that re-pussyfooted happens very over and over, so he is more apt to to be semi-bluffing.
If he is semi bluffing, what's he maneuver it with? A discharge draw would be a good whistle-stopper, or even an overpair. He machined plenty, so I'm not sure he wants a call. Of coruse, he could be lot the last Jack, but that's more than doubtful.
So I've expunged he's anybody stealing or semi bluffing, and most predisposed doesn't have me beat - albeit he played the hand good enough as I was intending to with my Jack.
So what to do?
I can:
a) Fold: Not in articulo mortis to occur. Not a come on, no way I'm letting go of this great beauty.b) Call: Eurgh. If I call, I seawall't gestate anything out on every side my hand, I'm pliant him not the type chance to bet me off, and if the imbue hits, I may have to fold.c) Raise: Much better off.
A good nurture will tell me what I need to know, but unfittingly the pot at this acuminate is so pug-nosed that I'm peripatetic to have to hustle and hope for the best. If I do, the down raising in miniature blind will have 1.7-1, which isn't incense to call for the squashed draw.
An overpair jurisdiction call (indeed given my long foresee), and unique
Jack would veritably call. So.. pulsion looks nice, but didn't feel easy to do.
The child
I won't indulge it, but go and support the hand and see what happens, then come back and tell me why I had best quit poker whereas
I'm minutiae. :)
